If you make an enquiry or place an order with CaterGiant ("we"," us") for any of our products or services, we might ask you to provide us with certain personal information to enable us to process your enquiry or order. We will only use that information for the purpose of processing your enquiry or order, for assisting with any after-sales enquiries and for providing you from time to time with details of our products, services and special offers.
We will not use your information for any other purpose nor will we sell or in any way pass on your information to any other party except as stated below in Third Parties.
Security of Information
When you use our online ordering system, we work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. All personal information you submit is fully encrypted during all transactions, ensuring the highest level of security. While you transmit personal information over the Internet at your own risk, we have measures in place to protect against misuse, alteration and loss of the information under our control.
Collection and Use of Information
We log the user's IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit and the type of browser used. This is recognised by the Web server and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics which we use to evaluate use of the site.
If you place an order, we need to collect information such as your name, contact details and credit or debit card details. We will not store your card details but we will store the other order details securely on our internal systems so that we can send you order confirmation, process your order and provide you with any after-sales service and offer additional products, service and consumables.
Third Parties
We are required to provide certain information about customers who place an order to our bank for the purpose of processing the credit/debit card payment, and also to our courier service or supplier for the purpose of effecting delivery to you.
CaterGiant does not sell, trade, rent or in any other way disclose your personal information to any other outside parties, unless necessary for processing your order as stated above.
CaterGiant reserves the right to pass on your personal information to any law enforcement agencies properly requesting it in connection with the commission of any offence once PM PoS is reasonably satisfied as to the circumstances surrounding the request.
Cookies
When you visit the CaterGiant website, you may be sent a cookie. A cookie is a small file, which may be placed on your computer's hard disk for record keeping purposes. It enables us to recognize your browser when you visit the CaterGiant website, track the items you are purchasing when you place an order and establish that you have logged into your account during the current browser session where necessary. No sensitive or personal information is ever stored in the cookie. The following information is stored in the cookie:
i. A unique identifier is stored in the cookie on a permanent basis to enable the web server to keep track of the domains, currency and TLDs you have selected during your session. This identifies only the browser session and cannot be used to identify you as an individual.
ii. A different unique identifier is stored in the cookie when you log into your account. This identifier is only set when you log in and is deleted when you finish your session either by logging out or closing your browser.
Opt Out
You may opt not to receive details of our related products, services and consumables by email, fax or post. To opt out, simply email us at info at catergiant.co.uk or write to us by post.
General
CaterGiant reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page so that you are always aware of how we use your personal information and in what circumstances it discloses it. Your continued use of this site following the posting of changes to this Policy will signify your acceptance of such changes.
